I love Kresley Cole´s world of the Lore! Returning to her words is always a treat, and this was no exception, even if it´s "just" a spin-off.
The assassin Prince Trehan is on a mission - to end the life of Caspian, a man who was let in to Dacia but left, although he promised never to do that. In his pursuit, Trehan stumbles upon his Bride, Bettina, who´s just about to wed who ever wins the competition. Now he has to make his decision, to give up his home for his Bride, and how to get over her anger when he´s forced to kill her childhood friend and love, Caspian.
Bettina just wanted to live her life in peace, but when she´s attacked by Vreckeners and almost killed, her god parents convince her to agree to a marriage to the best protector, the one who survives the competition.
Kresley never fails to give you a story with an impossible problem, one you just can´t believe can get a HEA, but somehow she pulls through, =) love that!
4,5 Stars, Bettina is a bit of a brat at first, but she comes around.
