The Peculiar Pets of Miss Pleasance - Delilah S. Dawson

An interlude in the Blud world where you get to see what Casper has been up to before you get his book.
Miss Frannie Pleasance is a pet shop owner who shows mercy and takes Casper in as a lodger when he stands without anything.
It doesn´t take long before the troubles start, though, and soon she makes the acquaintance of Thom Maccallan, the firefighter - in kilt *swoon*
He steps up when she´s got no one else, helps her with her animals, fixing the damages and keeping her safe.
A quick read with a hero in kilt and a return to the Blud World.
Can´t wait to see how Casper will fare in his own book...
